Typocircle: Dominic Wilcox
Last week we went to St. Brides Library for the latest Typocircle talk by Dominic Wilcox. Dominic works between the worlds of art, design, craft and technology to create innovative, thought provoking and surprising objects. He spoke about some of his favourite projects, which included the world’s first art exhibition for dogs, a cereal serving head crane device and a stained glasses driverless car.
Recently he has been focusing his attention on ‘Little Inventors’, a project that inspires children to become the inventors of the future. It takes children’s ideas and makes them into real objects. Starting as a series of workshops, it has now grown into a global digital platform where children around the world can submit their ideas online and receive feedback on their inventions.
Thank you to Typocircle and Dominic for such a fun and inspiring talk.
